Two friends and former students along with three other members of the West Georgia Quilters Guild visited our Lake and Mountain Quilt Guild meeting this month.
Carrollton, GA will be the home of the new Southwestern Quilt and Textile Museum. Beverly Hammack spoke to our guild and gave use a little information about the museum.
Quite fittingly the museum will be housed in an old cotton warehouse with over an acre of space. The warehouse is located just one block from the town square.
The museum will house a section for historical quilts as well as contemporary quilts. Plans are for the museum to open in 2011.
