When I finished designing my waterfall I knew that I did not want to machine quilt that area. I wanted to keep the depth that I had worked so hard to accomplish. I decided that I would use hand dyed thread along with a big stitch. While this area is not large it took me days to finish the quilting. I have multi-layers of fabric in this area and it was very hard to hand quilt. My hands are quite sore.
