On Tuesday I attended a workshop taught by Judy Simmons on Creative Machine Applique. Judy is a wonderful teacher, creative, knowledgeable and sharing. We worked on samples of about 12 different ways to machine applique. I do a lot of machine applique in my work but have always used straight stitch, zig zag or satin stitch. I find that satin stitch is often to heavy for what I want to represent in my art work. This class has given me a lot of ideas for future pieces. If you ever have a chance to take one of Judy's classes I highly recommend them.
