In March I had the pleasure of taking a three day painting with dyes class from Hollis Chatelain. We were to wash the fabric after it cured for 24 hrs. This was to remove the remaining dyes out of the fabric. I was quite happy with my piece before I washed it but it lost way to much color for me to be happy with the finished piece. I really wanted to salvage the piece and while looking at the photos I
took of my work before I washed it I came up with the idea to print it
on my Epson printer. Worked like a charm. I've been working on the
quilting for two days and it is finally finished. I will send this into
SAQA for their annual auction.
